    Hand Hygiene Australia (HHA) has provided a useful statement about Ebola Virus Disease and the use of alcohol based hand rub on gloved hands. HHNZ supports the recommendations provided by HHA. We also recommend that health professionals always seek specific advice from their DHB about the infection prevention and control procedures to follow in the event of a suspected or confirmed Ebola Virus Disease case.
